The game starts when the player wakes up in an alien laboratory. One can choose to use alien DNA to enhance health and stamina at the cost of slowly turning into a monster or just rely on human fighting skills and weapons and remain human. With the DNA the player mutates and develops claws, enhanced night vision and fast health regeneration rate. The weapons available to the player are rifles, clubs, machine guns, swords and grenades.

The scene of the fight is set in underground tunnels which are in most cases filthy with copses and sewage sewn all over. It is difficult to decide which way to follow and in darkness it is impossible to find one's way unless one uses the alien DNA. If the alien DNA is used people will not know that you are human and will try to kill you so you have to fight and kill them as well. Killing aliens replenishes stamina and night vision ability but sometimes there are no aliens to kill. The aliens have good night vision and will attack before you see them. By the time you turn and point your gun in their direction you shall have been hit by their bullets.

During the game, the player can upgrade his power and stamina by playing mini games and puzzles which provide higher grades and special fighting abilities.
